The Carroll Manor Soccer registration is open on May 7th. The registration will again be on line with Capital Sports (Sportzwave) at capitalsportsregistration.com . We ask that you look at the registration and sign your child up for the appropriate program and age group, either In-House, Travel or Premier. This year there will be no family MAX.
This year we will again upgrade the in-house uniforms, and each team will be wearing the jersey of one of the Premiership league teams. To assist with the growth of our children as soccer player and the program as a whole, Carroll Manor Soccer has contracted with the BayGinga organization to provide team training throughout the season, beginning in August. One day has been dedicated (Thursday’s 5:30 – 8:30pm) for both in-house and travel teams to sign-up for time slots to receive training. Coaches will soon be given the opportunity to sign up for that training.
The youth soccer programs offer instruction and fun to children interested in soccer. The programs offer four levels of play and development ranging from Hot Shots to in-house through the highest levels of travel.
The in house program is an intramural style program where the children are grouped in equal level teams and are provided instructional practices and games during the season. Practices and games are held on the Hydes Park fields. The program provides jerseys, socks, and coaches.
The Travel Program provides a more intense and competitive experience for the more accomplished soccer enthusiasts.
The Travel program offers two levels of competition, a travel program for the competitive developing player who wants to experience a more competitive league and a premier program (with the Carroll Manor affiliation with BSC) for soccer players at the top of their game, who want a more highly competitive experience. Both levels of play include tournaments and games against teams of neighboring communities. The Premier level includes out of state competition and tournaments.
The Travel Program is a competitive based program requiring tryouts, which are held the first three weeks of June.
We are always looking for volunteers willing to serve year round, serve as coaches during the soccer season, sell T shirts or just help, for an hour or a season. This year is the third and final year for both Paul DiPino and John Sdanowich, and there is a search to find a replacement as Chairman of the program for the 2011 season. If you are willing to take over the program please call John or Paul at 410-350-1600.
Thanks and we look forward to another fantastic season of soccer.
John Sdanowich & Paul DiPino
