AGE DETERMINATION DATE:  May 1, 2010
For participation in an age group different from the childs age group (i.e., a 9 yr old in clinic, or an 8 yr old in player pitch)  with the exception of Tee Ball, please contact Towsontowne Recreation Office to advise of the exception.

Towsontowne Baseball annually attracts about 350 children to play baseball in the Tee-Ball (ages 4 - 6), Clinic (ages 7 8), and Kids Pitch, Age Group 9/10 (aka National)

Descriptions of age groups are below:

Tee Ball Ages: 4 to 6 yrs. (typically Kindergarten & pre-school) Registration fee:  $55.00

Play, typically, twice a week in the evening at 6:00 PM to anywhere from 7-7:30 PM and/or on Saturdays.  Season runs from mid-April to early June.  The days of the week will vary from week to week.  Players learn to throw, catch and hit.  They then play a few innings with another team where some of the basic fundamental skills and rules are taught.  TEE BALL will be divided into younger (4 - 5 ) and older (5 - 6 ) brackets.  Coaches will contact players and parents after 4/1.  There will be a Tee Ball Coaches Clinic TBD.

Clinic   Ages:  7-8 yrs.  (typically 1st & 2nd grades)  Registration fee:  $70.00

Coach pitch league with Pro Style jerseys & hats.  Practices and games occur typically on weekday evenings at 6 PM, though an occasional Saturday or Sunday afternoon is possible.  First several sessions for each team are practices with games starting in mid-April.  Registrants and interested individuals will be kept informed, starting with an email in  March.

Player Pitch     Ages:  9 - 10 yrs. (typically 3rd  & 4th grades)   Registration fee:  $75.00

Player pitches with umpires and Pro Style Uniforms. Practices and games occur typically on weekday evenings at 6 PM, though an occasional Saturday or Sunday afternoon is possible.  First several sessions for each team are practices with games starting in mid-April.  Registrants and interested individuals will be kept informed, starting with an email in  March.

Players ages 11 and above are encouraged to register with the Towson Rec (www.trcbaseball.org).

2010 Travel Baseball Program

Towsontowne will be offering travel teams in 2010 for both 7-8 and 9-10. There is an additional cost to participate in the travel program and the players are offered a more competitive level of play than that typically found in the in-house leagues.  Each team will schedule their tryouts and practices and will contact the respondents.  Please contact Towsontowne Recreation Office (410-887-5913). Players must play in-house to be eligible to also play on the Travel team.
*If registration is limited for a travel team, hybrid teams with neighboring programs may be formed. *
